GCCDC Meeting

December 18, 2014 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

The Greater Charleroi Community Development Corporation (GCCDC) is dedicated to the revitalization of Charleroi and the surrounding communities. GCCDC is a grassroots organization made up of citizens who are interested in working towards building a stronger Charleroi. GCCDC knows that people are the strength of any community and encourages everyone to get involved and help strengthen the organization.

GCCDC’s monthly meetings provide an open environment for discussing the opportunities and challenges facing the area. Together, GCCDC can harness the energy needed to bring about positive change.

We welcome new members from the community who want to improve Charleroi and share new ideas for the future. Please consider joining GCCDC to help create positive change.

GCCDC’s revitalization efforts are focused around revitalization of both the business district as well as the residential neighborhoods. The group has completed work on several Rehab-for-Resale home projects and has lead the charge in building new construction like Meadowcrest Commons. GCCDC also led the way for the completion of the Riverfront Plaza Feasibility Study.

Through GCCDC’s membership with Mon Valley Initiative (MVI), a marketing study was completed which focused on the Downtown Business District. In addition to this study, GCCDC and MVI secured funding to allow for the recommendations identified in the study to be fully implemented.

GCCDC invites Charleroi community members to become a part of the group and help ensure Charleroi continues to be a great place to live and work! Contact Stephanie Eson at seson at monvalleyinitiative dot com or 412-464-4000 x.4024 for more information about how to get involved!
