Homestead-area Economic Revitalization Corporation is an inclusive, non-profit community development corporation comprised of dedicated volunteers who live and work in the Steel Valley. We believe that citizens have the right, the responsibility and the opportunity to actively participate in the future of their community. To this end we take on projects that help stabilize and revitalize the economic base of the community, such as residential and commercial real estate development and community pride projects.
The HERC Vision
We envision an active, exciting, diverse community that provides a desirable place to live, work, worship, shop, and enjoy one’s leisure time. The Steel Valley of Homestead, Munhall and West Homestead is rich in cultural diversity and historic traditions. HERC intends to use these strategic assets to encourage others to enjoy our area and promote an economically stable and prosperous community.
