Since 1990, Community Partner Awards have been presented by the community development corporations and local advisory groups that participate in Mon Valley Initiative.

Each year, MVI also honors an individual with the U.S. Sen. John Heinz III Award for Community Service and presents a Regional Partnership Award and an Employer Partner of the Year award.
