The Holland Ave. Homes represent some of the first new, single-family homes constructed in Braddock Borough in several years. Located at the heart of Braddock, near Braddock Civic Plaza, these homes are convenient to the East Busway, the Waterfront shopping complex, the Carrie Furnaces site and many civic and cultural attractions.
Six homes were constructed by Structural Modulars of Strattanville, Pa., and DRS of Greater Pittsburgh on lots that once were used as parking for Braddock General Hospital, but had been vacant for several years.
Each of these two-story homes includes central heating and air conditioning. They are attractive and designed to blend into the historic architecture of the neighborhood.
One of the homes will be ADA accessible on the first floor for residents with limited mobility.
This project was supported by Allegheny County Economic Development and the Pennsylvania Department of Community & Economic Development.
Additional support for this project came from Dollar Bank, PNC Bank and WesBanco.
